"Evidence Based Urban Policy & Creative District" - next Creative Metropoles meeting in Helsinki

The next Creative Metropoles event will be held in Helsinki on the 8th-10th of March 2011. The programme will consist of a seminar, an evening session and study visits. The theme of the main seminar is “Evidence Based Urban Policy & Creative District”. It will zoom in on different methods of gathering information on urban phenomena and the ways this information can be translated into city strategies and action plans supporting creative industries.

The evening session is organized together with the CTUR project concentrating on regeneration of building heritage of urban areas, especially harbours. Optional program including study visits to Aalto University, Helsinki Design District and Kalasatama – and old harbour area in transformation.
